Description

Rubber Plants can grow in very low to bright indirect light. Make sure to place it far away from direct daylight.

Fertilize with properly-balanced manure 3 to 4 times a year.

Repot it yearly with a pot one size bigger.

Propagation can be performed through methods: air layering or stem cuttings. When propagating Rubber Plant through cuttings, get a very good slicing which is around 6 inches long to make sure successful propagation.

Some of the issues faced by these plants are:

• The most common cause for the loss of leaves is overwatering. Watering needs to be performed only when the topsoil has dried up. Other reasons like low light or cold drafts additionally cause leaf loss. Move your plant to a brighter spot to prevent dropping leaves.
• Yellowing of leaves and soft leaves is also because of overwatering. Other elements like low light or unexpected changes in temperature can also cause the yellowing of leaves.
• Plants growing in containers require extra fertilizing than those in the ground. The more you water, the more rapidly you flush the nutrients out of the soil.
