Calathea Orbifolia

A very handsome indoor plant, or understorey plant for shady tropical garden beds. This Bolivian beauty has leaves that unfurl from cigarette scrolls into big broad circles, revealing subtle silvery-white stripes across each one. Give it some shade, regular misting, and a warm sheltered spot.

A large Calathea variety, the Orbifolia boast large, rounded leaves with a contrasting striped pattern.  The foliage grows out in a fanned shape from the center of the plant and each leaf grows to be substantially larger than your hand.
