V- Floxacin 100 ml

Composition:-

Each ml contains:

Enrofloxacin I.P. 100 mg

Pharmacodynamics:-

Ciprofloxacin interferes with bacterial DNA metabolism by the inhibition of two enzymes, Topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and Topoisomerase IV (similar in structure to DNA gyrase).

In Gram-negative organisms such as E. coli DNA gyrase is the primary target, whereas in Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus Topoisomerase IV is the principal target. This results in breakdown of the DNA, leading to irreversible damage and, finally, to death of the bacterium.

Indications:-

V-FLOXACIN is a drug of choice in treatment of

Mycoplasmosis and mixed infections of Mycoplasma and bacteria (CRD)

Colisepticaemia (E. coli)

Fowl Cholera (Pasteurella)

Fowl Typhoid (Salmonella)

Infectious Coryza (Hemophilus)

Treatment of secondary bacterial infections in viral diseases

Dosage:-

Dosage recommendation is at the rate of 10 mg / kg body weight for 3-5 days.

1 ml of solution in 2 litres of water for 3-5 days or as advised by the veterinarian.

V-Floxacin can be combined with anticoccidials regularly used in Poultry.
