Description

Stromanthe Triostar requires indirect daylight; however, direct daylight can be a reason for your plant to lose its variegations, burn, and ultimately kill the plant.

Fertilize Stromanthe with rich compost and a well-balanced water-soluble fertilizer, decreased to 1/2 of its strength, in its growing months of spring and early summer when its sprouting fresh new leaves.

Report Stromanthe Tristar in a compost-rich soil in a bigger pot yearly or when it outgrows its current pot. Keep the soil wet but never soggy and mist often.

Stromanthe Tristar can be propagated simply through cuttings of the rhizome during the spring or summer.

Some of the issues faced by these plants are:

• The Stromanthe Triostar flourishes in a moist surrounding corresponding to the rainforests it can be traced back to and the drooping leaves are an indication of lack of water in the leaves. Water your plants very little and frequently to prevent this.
• Lack of moisture results in the browning of leaves and the plant is most probably parched. Water and mist the plant often to resolve this problem.
• The main problem with Stromanthe is underwatering. When the plant is parched for far too long the drooping leaves develop to yellowing and browning. If the situation isn’t remedied the leaves shrivel up and die. Maintain a wet, but not soggy, soil and mist often to help your plant flourish.

Plants growing in containers require extra fertilizing than those in the ground. The more you water, the faster you flush the nutrients out of the soil.
