Snake Plant (Sansevieria White)

Description

It requires a well-balanced houseplant fertilizer monthly from late spring right until fall. Do not fertilize in the winter season.

Repot every 2 to 3 years as your plant begins to grow taller and bigger.

The simplest way to propagate is by dividing your snake plant. Use a sharp knife to cut the primary plant in half at the primary rhizome through the root and replant these halves. It can also be done by leaf-cutting.

Sansevierias look awesome alone or grouped with other leafage plants too. This dwarf variety is best for your office, side tables, and bookshelves. The beauty of a snake plant is that it will felicitate any space and location.

Some of the issues faced by these plants are:

• Drooping of Snake Plant is mainly due to root decay.
• Root decays because of overwatering is the most common cause for your Snake Plant to not grow. In this case, cut any decaying roots and repot your plant.
• Snake Plant leaves become yellow due to a lot of reasons. Yellowing of the plant is mainly caused by overwatering or under-watering. Too much fertilizer or too little light also can cause these problems.

Plants growing in containers require extra fertilizing than those in the ground. The more you water, the more rapidly you flush the nutrients out of the soil.
