Riccardia Multifida

Riccardia multifida is a species of liverwort belonging to the family Aneuraceae.It has cosmopolitan distribution. Thallus yellowish-green, variously branched, 1 cm x 0.5-1 mm, margin entire, sometimes crenulate; superficial cells thin walled, polygonal; oil bodies single, ovoid; main axis biconvex in cross section, 4-6 cells thick in the middle, wing 3 cells thick and ultimate branch unistratose; monoecious, antheridial branches slender, embedded, globose; archegonial branches short, archegonia dorsal.
