Description

The ZZ plant is famous to adapt to all types of environments, and even though it loves bright indirect light like every plant it flourishes properly in low-light regions too. Remember to place your ZZ plant far away from direct daylight.

The ZZ plant does not require much care other than a monthly feed during its primary growing period from August to April.

Repot every year as it will outgrow the pot.

ZZ plant can be simply propagated by leaf cuttings or by dividing the root rhizome. However, propagation by rhizome division cannot be done regularly as the new rhizomes grow back sluggishly.

Plants growing in containers require extra fertilizing than those in the ground. The more you water, the faster you flush the nutrients out of the soil.

Some of the issues faced by these plants are:

• Under-watering generates the browning of leaves. Water your plant more often to resolve this.
• The curling of leaves of the ZZ plant is a sign of an excessive amount of light. Keep your plant far away from direct daylight.
• The ZZ plant begins dropping due to root decay that is because of overwatering.
