Description

Alternanthera Sessilis is found in many tropical and subtropical regions of the earth in moist to humid areas, e.g. in marshes, on roadsides and in gardens. The dark red form of this species is widely used as an ornamental plant and is often sold as an aquarium plant. Under water it produces very long internodes with small leaves and a very large number of roots high on the plant.

The cultivation of Alternanthera Sessilis is very easy. This strikingly dark red plant is also suitable for paludarium or terrarium
