Alpinia is a very gorgeous leafage plant with stunning yellow and green bicolor leaves with a striking tropical appearance. It is also known as the shell ginger plant because the flowers favor seashells. Variegated ginger is grown for its colorful leafage which will lighten up a partly shaded garden.
