Aloe Green

Description

Aloes grow well in shadowy areas. 3 to 4 hours of daylight is enough for the appropriate growth of the Aloe. Although Aloe Vera can outlast full sunlight, grow the aloe under some cloudy areas or shaded places for better growth. The Aloe plant thrives in well-drained, dusty loam soil. At the time of planting, add a good amount of cow dung fertilizer or manure to the potting soil.

Report Aloe Vera once a year. This will ensure that Aloe gets fresh new soil and ample room to grow.

With time pot gets packed with baby aloes which are called Pups. For propagation cut off these pups from the mother plant and place them in a separate pot. Aloe can also be propagated by leaf cuttings and suckers.

Some of the problems faced by these plants are:

• Overwatering or under watering causes the yellowing of the Aloe Vera plant.
• Overwatering can cause shedding of the Aloe Vera plant. Water the plant less often to correct this problem.
• If your Aloe Plant is completely pulpy it is because of overwatering. Water your plant less frequently to avoid your aloe leaves turning pulpy.
